Sunday, a day meant for rest and relaxation, which ironically ends up being the day where all the work I didn't get to finish the rest of the week gets stacked up. It's rainy and quiet, it's just me and Andrew and the sound of our typing.

Hm ..

That's not exactly true. The truth is that no 2 minutes pass without one of us saying something stupid, hoping to amuse the other. We're throwing around absurd words with funny accents, grimaces and high pitched tones. Obviously, both of us lack the patience to stay inside working. And the worse part is that it's that kind of day when you're seemingly always hungry.

So we visit the fridge, now, after an hour,  after another 30 minutes, after that, then again and then it's already lunch time, we have another snack, we take a short nap and we almost always wake up hungry. What the heck is wrong with Sundays?

I run to the kitchen to prepare a snack. Something to incorporate all our cravings. Sweet, fresh, salted and smoked, anything we can think of.

Duminica, "ziua de odihna" unde se aduna, defapt, toata munca pe care n-am reusit sa o termin pe parcusul saptamanii. E ploios si liniste, numai eu cu Andrei si tastele care se aud batand.

Hm..

Nu e chiar adevarat, adevarul e ca nu trec 2minute fara sa spuna unul dintre noi o prostie, in speranta de a-l amuza pe celalalt. Izbucnim in cuvinte din ce in ce mai absurde, cu accente, cu grimase si schieunaturi copilaresti. E clar, nici unul dintre noi nu avem rabdare. Si ce e mai rau, e ca intr-o astfel de zi cand stii bine ce ai de facut si cat de mult este, parca mai mereu ti-e foame.

Asa ca vizitam frigiderul, acum, peste o ora, peste inca jumatate si apoi e masa de pranz, inca o gustarica, dormim inghensuiti si ne trezim infometati. Ce e si cu duminia asta?

Fug sa pregatesc o gustare. Ceva sa inglobeze toate poftele noastre. Dulce, fresh, sarat si afumat, tot ce-ti poate atinge papilele gustative.

It wasn't easy to take these pictures while my mouth was water, that is. And it's ridiculous, we have just barely eaten! Oh Andrei, oh you guys, what are we gonna do with these cravings?

The only thing I'm grateful in times like these is that I was lucky enough to met the people from Inima Verde. You may probably know this already, but I began collaborating with them. Our work together is based on feedback. They bring in new products from all over the world almost every week and they need an outside opinion to give the verdict: What do you think? Is it tasty? Should we keep ordering it?

- "YES! Are you kidding me? I can't believe you've got balsamic vinegar with strawberries! - And oranges !? That's crazy!" I remember saying last time I was in the store.

To be honest, I have no patience, nor the time to keep track of what's new on the BIO market, so I'm glad I have them to constantly excite me with keeping a healthy diet. And eventually it's not even that hard, at least not when you have so many goodies in the fridge!

N-a fost usor sa fac fotografiile cand gura imi era apa, asta voiam sa spun. Si e ridicol, doar abia mancasem! Of Andrei, of fetelor, ce sa facem sa combatem poftele?

Am noroc insa ca i-am cunoscut pe cei de la Inima Verde. Da, probabil ca stii deja, am si inceput o colaborare cu ei. Aceasta se bazeaza pe feedback, ei aduc produse noi din toate colturile lumii aproape saptamanal si au nevoie de o parere din exterior care sa le dea verdictul: E bun? E gustos? Sa mai comandam?

- "DA! Glumesti? Nu-mi vine sa cred ca aveti aceto balsamico cu capusni! - Si portocale!? Asta e nebuie curata!" imi amintesc exclamand ultima data cand am fost in magazin.

Sincera sa fiu, nu am nici rabdarea, nici timpul sa ma informez pe indelete cu ce a mai aparut nou pe piata BIO, de aceea ma bucur ca-i am pe ei sa ma entuziasmeze constant sa ma tin de un regim sanatos. Si pana la urma nici nu e atat de greu, cel putin nu cand ai asa bunatati in frigider!

Avocado Cream on Dyrogue

My last culinary obsession is avocado cream. I just crush it, stir it with salt and lemon, and blend it really well with extra virgin olive oil. I also started to replace bread with buckwheat, it's a healthy and tasty combo I could enjoy each and every day.

Another discovery outside the french "pain du fleur" is that jam without sugar. Taking a look on the label is a joy when you don't have to feel guilty after you've had yet another snack.

Ultima mea feblete in materie culinara e crema de avocado. Il mananc pisat, cu sare si lamaie, si amestecat bine-bine cu ulei de masline extra virgin. Am inceput sa inlocuiesc painea cu turtite de hrisca, e un combo sanatos si gustos pe care l-as putea savura in fiecare zi.

O alta descoperire, in afara turtitelor frantuzuesti, este dulceata fara zahar. Te uiti cu tot dragul pe eticheta cand nu trebuie sa te simti vinovat dupa ce te-ai cadorisit cu inca o gustare.
