My Share of Prada inspiration

“We need to be fighters in general.
There is this debate about women again, and I want to interpret it.
My instrument is fashion.
I use my instrument to be bold.
I had this idea that if you wear clothes so exaggerated and out there,
people will look, and then they will listen.”
It’s a sort of trick.
I want to be nasty.

Prada & Bag Expo on Dyrogue

Last night, before bed, I read an article in Vogue. Miuccia Prada was interviewed after launching last year's spring collection. You read the reason I mention this above..

She's right, isn't she?

I think so. And I also think she has a brilliant approach to fashion. The nonconformism she plays with in a field so risky, their robust colors, but also maintaining classical pieces as symbols of luxury in the mean time. Prada is ultimately an aspirational company. They target an audience that craves the status such a brand offers.

It's interesting though how some pieces become exclusive. How they awaken in us dreams and aspirations. We associate them with a life not only easier, but more enjoyable, even .. fuller.

If it's true, it's hard to say. The fact is that it hangs on our mentality. The emotional state that we get when having such an item, which in turn is influenced by others. A powerful, opulent accessory gives you a particular status quo that's noticed and interpreted. Whether we like it or not, we live in a society where what we show on the outside is encoded.

A fashion statement denotes power, prosperity and creativity. It invokes trust and admiration. It's a display of good taste and education.

Yes .. it brings the judgment of others along, whether or not it is tainted with envy.

The downside? We are constantly judged, no matter what we wear or what we match, but Miuccia teaches us one thing:

if we draw attention, we steal a moment of glory in which we're listened to. And if the message that people hear in that unique moment in time, is a resounding one, then we get the luxury of being different.

I really like this woman. She brought Prada, along  with her husband, at a competitive level with the French (Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent etc), but without using the same typical elements they interpreted as elegance.

The bags, for example, were designed as anti-snobbish. While everyone else was creating purses completely adorned with patterns or repetitive symbol of the company (see Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, etc.) Prada was limited to a minimal triangle, which persisted to today.

Are dreptate, nu?

E interesant insa cum anumite piese devin exclusiviste.

For me it's an inspiration and as for many others, an aspiration.

I particularly like their bags. Maybe because their part of the young history of the fashion house, which began as a manufacturer of leather bags and luggage.

Miuccia Prada began expanding immediately after she got hold of the company.

Exactly: we even have sunglasses or perfumes now! I like Candy the most, but we'll talk about odors in another article. And the sunnies I bought in Vienna, while on a spontaneous trip I told you more about here.

Imi plac in mod special gentile.

Manicure Inspiration

Inspired by Prada and with the shapes and designs taken from them, I got a modern minimalistic manicure. I translated my ideals into small details that give me a sense of accomplishment. And this with a personal touch.

Like Miuccia said, we can use tricks like that.

That's how Andreea and I created my latest pride at Nail Art.

I want to tell you a little secret. You can say it's a trick.

There is a new product called Gelix Polish Gelix on the market. You apply it like an usual nail polish , but it protects your nail with a layer of special gel. It can be worn up to 3-4 weeks and it dries in just a few seconds.

Brilliant, right?

You now have the luxury of a salon-like manicure, right in the comfort of your home, with an incredibly more affordable price. ( 59 Ron )

You can find it at the salons Nail Art Studio, as well as on the Nail Shop on their Facebook page:

Genial, asa-i?

( 59 Ron )

Il poti gasi atat in saloanele Nail Art Studio, cat si in Nail Shop-ul  de  pe pagina de Facebook:
