A beauty blog
But what does that even mean?
It's a journal and a documentation about everything that I find inspiring and that brings beauty to our lives. From life-changing experiences, to small habits that can make us just a little bit better, to the very tricks and tips to create more space for our own uniqueness in our world.
I think beauty is a word that is often misconceived and associated solely to physical attributes - I don’t see it that way. Although, I must confess, I believe estheuiques play an important role in the human experience and should be celebrated, I also believe true beauty is almost always found in imperfection and authenticity. I’m on a wild hunt to find this in my daily life.
There is beauty in nature, in the universe, in us.
So why shy away from it?
Why not bring more of it to the world?
Let's create beauty
Cellulite. Oh, isn’t it one of those words that immediately paint a picture in your mind? I know it does in mine. And the image itself isn’t as disturbing as the emotional impact it brings along.
For most women, cellulite is a real self esteem issue and in today’s world, up to 90% of the entire female population has or will have cellulite on their bodies in their lifetime.
That’s a mind blowing thing, if you come to think of it. The majority of women these days have cellulite, yet it is still somewhat taboo. We still expect ourselves not to have to deal with this issue and secretly get frustrated when trying on new bikinis. Our standards are getting higher than ever, yet our self respect is going down the hill. We need to stop this. Right now!
Ever felt like you’re living your life on autopilot? Well, in a way, you probably are. Most of the things we’re doing on a regular basis are habits we’ve acquired a long time ago, even without noticing it. The good news though, is that many of them are tied to the environment we’re spending our time in. We can change these patterns if we change the space and take some powerful decisions along the way! These are 5 things I’ve committed to while moving into our new home and they are literally changing our lives forever.
Festivals are a funny thing for me these days. Not because my city is basically a hub for these kind of events, but for finding myself experiencing them in a very different way than I used to. Shoving in alcohol until it numbs my brain isn't really something I look forward for anymore, but that doesn't mean that I'm not having fun. These days, I..

Lately, I’ve been a strong believer of a wholistic take on life. This mindset has impacted all aspects of it, uniting them in a work of art that needs balance to survive. It also made me look at the cause, never the effect. One way to look at health and even your overall presence, is to start with your posture. You have NO idea how much it reveals about your charachter, your life style or your past behaviours. The scary thing is that it affects everything about your future, from your well being, to your ability to move around, travel, have fun and create a life worthwhile. It determines how you’ll age and how much confidence you’ll have and show. Taking care of your posture should be the first step, especially before doing anything athletic! This was one mistake I wish I didn’t make. You need to know about this, read on.
Oh, I just love deconstructing fashion. I actually like talking about it more than I like wearing it. It's a professional defect, I guess. Today I want you to find Anca Oprea’s dress, created especially for the professional brand, Syoss. I think this dress is a great reflection of the brand, that has mostly down to earth, intelligent and driven ladies as their customers. Their brand identity is professional, modern, minimalist and performance oriented, because their products offer professional styling options for individual use. That's empowering for a woman, who's always busy getting great things done, all while looking amazing. Guess that's why I carry a Syoss dry shampoo in my car and in my purse all the time.
At the end of last year, I decided: 2018 is going to be sugar-free for me.
I wanted to mend the feeling of being incapable, uncontrollable and for sabotaging myself. But getting the motivation to actually do it sounds way easier then it is. The mere thought of quitting sugar made me wanna go dig in a bucket of ice cream for the rest of the day, but I managed to do something even better …
My name is Diana and I was addicted to sweets. Literally. But over 6 months ago, I decided I was going to free myself. And I did. Today, I want to show you how I got the mental toughness to pull this through.
Last week I was lucky to have a front row seat at one of the most exciting events of the year in Cluj, the Art and Design University's Fashion Design Gala. When I say exciting, I mean it.
You need to be there to feel it yourself, but the place is emotion packed. The students are just a few moments away from starting their careers as fashion designers, the media is breathless while the collections surpass each other in boldness and eclecticism. . Of course, not all students make it to the gala. Just the very best get the chance.
I've bragged a whole lot about my quitting sugar and you must be wondering how the hell I manage going through summer without having ice cream, right? Well, easy: making Nice Cream.
Nice Cream is a guilt-free, natural, home-made ice cream without any added sugar. Sounds too good to be true? Wait till you taste it! Here are three recipes you can try at home and the 1 trick that will help you improvise your own signature recipe. Read on.
I have some more good news from my side! It's about Intimissimi, the Italian lingerie brand. Guess who's the new brand ambassador in Romania? Yours truly.
Sorry if I'm too proud about this, but you know what? I really am. I just absolutely love lingerie and you know I'm a total sucker for anything Italian. And what's even cooler is that they only select 2 influencers in each country to spread their message.
In Italy, it's Chiara Ferragni and Giselle. In Romania it's me and Ioana Chisiu (she's a totally hot mom, if you haven't met her yet). Me and Chiara share the same pink bra. Oh, shoot, I think I'm fangirling another blogger. Is that allowed?
I was out to take some shots of what I believe to be a nice twist you can add to an office outfit, when one of the men working for our apartment gave me a call. We stopped everything and rushed towards the dusty, empty penthouse. I know many of my readers are working in a corporate field and are pretty tired of their daily fashion choices. So I wanted to illustrate how anyone can game up a suite, into a casually glam outfit. Any woman should have a finely tailored black suite in her wardrobe, no exceptions. This is how you can do it. And the cherry on top? We took all the pictures in my place. This is a very first!
When I was 15 years old, something happened that changed the course of my life in a profound, twisted way. It's still a memory I come back to once, every single year. It was June 2nd and I was just turning 15. My dad considered this, the age of a big shift: from girl, to woman...
Toady I'd like to talk to you about the little rules I have for wearing faux fur. I do believe everyone has their own sense of what looks nice and what doesn't, but this is how I make sure I don't look like I'm trying too hard, but keeping it interesting in the mean time.
Tell me, why would I care about you if I didn't even know you? Why would you care about me if I didn't care about you? It's just like love. It has to run both ways. You can't force it. A real connection happens with real conversation. With real emotions flowing both ways.
I found a way to do something really special on the web, a few nights ago. I found a way to get to know you, my reader, my friend. You know how I did it? I asked. And you answered. And now I know what you're like. Is this post true about you?
I see myself as a writer, so whenever I get the slightest idea of doing a mental exercise, I'm thrilled to put my words down in front of me. To study them. To see what comes up. In my point of view, writing has always meant self discovery. That's what I did today. I thought about my life commandments. Guess what came up?
Do people often tell you to stop going to extremes? To be more balanced? Yeah, I know, me too. But it's actually not easy to do, nor do I think it's a good piece of advice. If you're anything like me, you'll need to your own justification for what you want to do, before doing anything. Then, you'll need to know the answer to this question: are you a moderator or an abstainer? as Gretchen Rubin puts it. Join the conversation and find out four yourself.
When it comes to make-up, I'm boldest with my lip colors. I may not always go for a full on rainbow eyeshadow, nor do I play around too much with a winged linear, I kinda keep those classy, but I do love wearing interesting tones on my lips.
Today I want us to talk about a few things: Obviously, this delicious SUPER-ENERGY BOMB that you'll find in all pictures of this post, second, about why I want to give up sugar and third, what I want to add more of to my diet.
During the winter, I literally have one of two moods. I'm either putting on a second pair of socks and hiding under the covers with a sturdy book and a lemon, vanilla green tea OR I'm totally hyped about the smell of fresh snow and I'm up and running in about 5 minutes, just to get a taste of it. Then again, it's so much easier to enjoy winter when you love big sweaters, thick fabrics like velvet or wool, and have at least a dozen furry pieces in your wardrobe. I'm a total faux fur maniac, but I honestly think it helps.
Nothing makes winter more worthwhile than a really chunky knit.
And if it's a dusty pastel too, then I'm sold!
Alright you ladies, I know this isn't exactly the type of weather we're all going for, but if we're gonna have snow at the beginning of this year, then let's have a blast with it.
The news was on. An urgent female voice was explaining: "The 15th of January has been scientifically proven to be the most depressing day of the entire year." - Guess what the date was? You got it.
Another year, another planner. Here's your free printable little vision board. Write down your dreams, your plans and your future - without worrying about anything else. Cheers to 2018!
Crafting your goals for the coming year is one of the most powerful tools you could ever use to shape your destiny. But how come so many of us never get to see them come to reality? How come it just isn't as powerful for everyone? To make things even worse, here's a scary figure: 80% of new years resolutions fail by February.
Don't make these 11 mistakes and you've set yourself up for success. This is a practical guide that will help you be part of the mere 20% that make it. You're about to notice the things that have been keeping you back from unleashing your full potential. Rock your goals this year.
It was the very first day of snow and we were damn right excited. The backdrop was set with flickering snowflakes and crystallised branches. The tips of or fingers were almost numb as we tried to touch the snow still floating in the air. The air had a smell to it, that reminded me of my childhood. The days when we'd go to school wrapped in fluffy sweaters and big knitted scarfs. I would always take a deep breath the very moment I would step outside. I'd tell myself I'm brining in the winter. And, I guess I was.
When it comes to being yourself, it all sounds easy, but it really isn't. How do you know who you are, in the midst of the social media phenomenon and all the influence taking over your mind? Let me show you an exercise that worked wonders for me. And it will for you too.
Gata?
